Volunteer Driver - Kingston/Amherstview [ More Info ]
To transport an individual to and from his Kingston Ongwanada Day Program 2-3 days per week. The volunteer would pick the gentleman up at his Amherstview home for approx. 8:45 am 2-3 days per week and drive him to Ongwanada's Balsam Grove site at 85 Grosvenor Court. The volunteer would then pick the gentleman back up at the Ongwanada site the same 2-3 days per week at approx. 3:00 pm in order to drive him home to Amherstview.

Two volunteer facilitators will be trained to deliver a seven week progam to boys who are in grades 6-8. Each 1.5 hour session is loosely structured around three Boys Mentoring Program themes - physical activity, healthy eating/nutrition and self-esteem/communication skills. The program is to provide fun, hands on activities to boys. As a mentor we would like you to create a group atmosphere where participants will want to come back each week.

Hot Meal Program Volunteer [ More Info ]
You would help out in some or all of the following ways: to prepare, serve and/or clean-up a 3 course hot meal provided 5 days per week (after Labour Day) to those in the Kingston community. You would work with a kitchen coordinator who oversees the lunch program and other volunteers. We serve between 75 and 100 lunches per day. Preparation begins at 8:30am, lunch is served at 11:30am and we try to be finished as close to 1 pm as possible.
